Singer/ songwriter Scott Simmons shares his heart and soul in his newest album. Music has been a part of his life since as long as he can remember. “My mother used to say I came out singing instead of crying,” Scott reminisces. “I started singing at the age of 5 in little concerts in Kindergarten for my classmates and teachers.”
Growing up with inspiration from his two grandmothers as well as his father, Scott learned to love music. These family bonds eventually led to him pursuing music like he does today. “Whenever I am performing, composing, singing and playing music, I am always thinking about my supportive, amazing parents and music teachers who paved the way for me to be a professional musician, and to Jesus, for bestowing the gift of singing, playing and writing music in me,” shares Scott.
Bringing Country-Pop and Contemporary-Christian Gospel melodies together, Scott’s newest album has something for everyone. And his lyrics relate to audiences through its focus on hope and joy. “I hope my audience will gain a better understanding of the presence of God in their lives no matter what the situation is,” says Scott. “I also hope that they can find a way to connect and relate to my songs that have truly been the result of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
Scott’s down-to-earth style combined with new melodies is sure to resonate with audiences everywhere. His new music will be released through Lamon Records in November and can be found on iTunes and Amazon. You can read more about Lamon Records at www.lamonrecords.com.
