Another talented artist joined Lamon Record’s Songwriter Spotlight Series this summer. Hannah Herrington of Cypress, Texas has been a singer all her life, but is fairly new to songwriting. She signed with Lamon Records in the summer of 2015 and has recorded her first project in Nashville.
While discovering her musical talents, Hannah worked at a Cheerleading gym, the same one she began cheering at six years ago. She also loves animals and regularly volunteers at a horse rescue facility.
A few of her musical inspirations include Carrie Underwood, Danielle Bradbery, Miranda Lambert, and Cassadee Pope. Hannah is ready to bring an inviting and personal vibe to any show she performs. She wants her music to be relatable and to make connections with fans.
She found Lamon Records while searching for a label outlet for her songs. She recorded herself singing an original tune on YouTube and sent it in to Dave Moody, President and CEO of Lamon. Moody also produced her project.
“Hannah has a very powerful and stylistic voice,” says Moody. “I especially enjoyed co-writing with her, as Hannah’s ideas and lyrics seemed to flow effortlessly into catchy modern country-pop tunes.”
Hannah hopes to gain more fans with her project, perform more often, and eventually collaborate with other writers in the industry.
“I want my future fans to know where I came from and what I am about,” says Hannah. “I have worked very hard to get this far and hard work pays off. I love to sing country music because it connects with people and tells a story. I am a really easy person to connect with and get a long with and so I hope they will learn that about me.”
Hannah Herrington’s two-song single on Lamon Records will be available on Amazon, iTunes, and everywhere music is sold. Her first radio single, “Cowboy Kiss,” will be released to stations across the country in mid-October.
