My kids laughing

2. What makes you happy?

The ocean

3. What makes you angry?

Passive-aggressive people

4. What do you think is the secret of success?

Figure out what you love to do and then do it no matter how big or small

5. Who is your favorite historical figure?

Anyone involved in the Civil War: Abraham Lincoln, General Lee who was against slavery yet fought so long for the southern cause, General Grant and Sherman. I love learning about people from both sides of the war and seeing how it has impacted us today.

6. How do you hope you’ll be remembered?

Passionate about relationships, family, music and Jesus. That I put my relationships and people first over anything else.

7. What’s your favorite childhood memory?

I grew up in Syracuse NY. We had just gotten a huge snow storm and it was illegal to be on the roads because of the amount of snow.  My dad (who has such great respect for rules …haha) asked me and my brothers if we wanted to go skiing.  I had never been skiing and neither had my dad.  So we hopped in the car and drove illegally to the ski resort where my dad and I learned how to ski while being buried in snow.  We fell and laughed a lot at each other.  We never got caught by the police for driving but we did get stuck quite a few times in the snow on our way there and back. It was a blast.

8. What book is currently on your nightstand?

The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson

9. What artist is the most played on your iPod?

George Strait

10. In your opinion, what is the best album of all time?

It is hard to pick one. I would be torn between truly great albums like U2 ‘Joshua Tree’, Michael Jackson ‘Thriller’ and Bob Marley ‘Legend’ that are classics.  A non-classic that I listen to a lot is Sheryl Crow’s ‘Tuesday Night Music Club.’  If you excuse her pop hits on there, the CD has some really cool jazz vibes to it. But my favorite would definitely be The Carpenters ‘Close To You’.  I grew up on it and just love it.

11. Any hidden talents?

I was trained classically in college and am known to be heard belting out operettas loudly in the shower.

12. When you get to heaven, what is the first thing you want to hear God say to you?

Here is that hug you have been waiting for.
